Learning Through Play
Welcome to Community Pre-Schools - A message from Sarah and Bec
Thank you for showing an interest in Community Pre-Schools for your child’s stepping stone into full time education. We are proud to lead our two settings at Hall Lane Whitwick and Ravenstone and truly believe we ensure the highest standard of quality care and education in a secure and happy environment.

Our funding page explains clearly what you need to know about the Government support available to you and just to reassure you, unlike many other settings, WE DON'T CHARGE FOR 'EXTRAS' , or ask for a deposit and we also let you use your funding entitlement to suit you however many days you want, providing we have the spaces.
Our motto at Community Pre-Schools is ‘Learning Through Play’, which we achieve with a well planned, child led curriculum ensuring that all our children reach their appropriate age and stage developmental and educational potential. We are passionate about the care we offer to our children, supported by a full personal, social and educational programme which enables all our children to develop at their own pace, but allowing us to value each child and cater for their individual needs.
We offer higher than average staff to child ratios and also pride ourselves in having enthusiastic and committed staff with the fullest range of qualifications across the settings, including NVQ3, HND, Early Years Professional and BA Hons in Childhood Studies, as well as the DfEE Early Years SENCO status to enable us to support our children who have additional needs. We are experienced childcare providers with a culture of success through 30 years of continuing professional development in the care and safety of children.
Both of our settings have recently received glowing OfSTED reports and we are delighted that inspectors praised the strong bond between our staff and children by commenting that “children have strong relationships with nurturing staff at this warm and welcoming pre-school” and that “parents speak warmly about the pre-school and comment that staff know their child very well”.
We know there is no better way of seeing what we do than by visiting us in person and we positively encourage visits to our settings, which offer opportunities to see children at play and to talk to staff and managers. We operate an ‘open door policy’. We appreciate you are looking for the very best start for your child, so please feel free to call in at one of our settings or contact us directly.
We hope you find this information helpful and we would love to hear from you in the near future. .
